[WestMichiganRope] MI-GRUE reflections
What a weekend! For those that were able to attend, you know what I am
talking about. It was amazing to watch as we opened the day with
introductions, then ended with some profound and emotional reactions
at the closing of the day. If you were not there, you missed what was
termed by more than a few to be one of the better events in the area
this year!
We had 36 registrants for the weekend. A perfect number. The location
was perfect for the GRUE. Graydancer was incredible. He made the day
relaxed and organized the unconference with grace and style. His
leadership allows this type of event to flow seamlessly! The topics
are generated by the group and taught by the group with Gray's help.
We covered things from basic ties, to negotiations, safety, the drum
harness, inversions, energy exchange, breast/CBT bondage, full contact
dom (Takedown scene) and the fishbowl...where the group split into
tops, bottoms and switches that prepared question for the other group.
It was a fun, energy filled, educational day.
Even with Greg going down with a Kidney stone, the play party went on
and the brunch at Greg & jen's house on Sunday went on without a hitch
with chef Graydancer. The day saw some incredible energy, some light
play and a nice tie on Pam, a great picture shoot Gray did with
Camille in the snow in front of the chicken coop. Congrats to Camille
for being the model in some hot pics! One of our own on the National
stage!

We are so proud of the group. And there are so many people who helped
pull this off. Samos is a Godsend. He and Greg built an incredible
rack Gray wants plans to build for himself. He was there helping for
the last few months. But when our Water heater went out two days
before the event. Master Sar was there, running for parts and got us
up and running at the meet & greet. The House of Sar also supplied the
breakfast and fruit for the day Saturday. Reek & Sylph were there
Friday to help clean and set up. falcon came in and cooked breakfast
for Graydancer and all 9 people at our house on Saturday morning. Ms.
Moon for opening her house for part of the event and fpr opening her
home to out of town guests from St Louis, Missouri who drove in for
the event. A few sent extra money which turned out to be exactly what
we needed to run the event.
Everyone that came seemed to enjoy the experience and have fun with
it. We are so pleased and proud to bring this caliber of presenter to
West Michigan. Gray was very impressed with WMR and everyone. He said
it was one of his best ever events and would like to comeback soon,
and we might take him up on that!! The unconference concept could be
done many times with different and exceptional results as it is never
the same!
So Thank you to all that came. We are blessed to have so many
wonderful people touch our lives through WMR and especially this
weekend! We filled the room had a great time and are energized as we
move into 2008!!!
