It hasn't worked that way in Germany (and probably most of Europe, but
I'm only familiar with Germany). Industry has tried to make that claim
for decades, but, surprise surprise, the employment picture there is
strong. On the other hand, in the US we are losing jobs left and right
to outsourcing to China and India, and unemployment is substantially
higher than in Europe (the numbers are collected differently, so 5%
unemployment in the US translates to well over 10% elsewhere).
But enough of that - that's really too far off topic.

I'm not sure how you can say "sexuality issues are pretty small in
this context". People *are* getting arrested for these sexuality
issues, no matter how polite they are to the policeman.
