OK. For the record. I think I have said so before, but I might not have. And if I had thought it needed to be said, I would have.
I am a Barrister & Solicitor (which is the official title for lawyers called to the bar over here). Just so happens that a good part of my more than 20 years of experience is related to fighting (and usually winning) discrimination cases. No, I do not have the official status in the USA or any other country but I do keep up with developments there and do use them for precedents here.
But I am not one of those people who thinks haveing that official status determines qualifications - there are many who do have official status who have totally screwed up concepts of discrimination and many who do not have that status who can teach me things about discrimination.

If you are an attorney, then say so. But don't make veiled hints. I
had legal classes in college, too. I was a business major. But I'm not
an attorney, nor do I pretend or hint around that I am one.
Familiarity with legal systems might just be that you're a criminal.
They certainly an be said to have a familiarity with the legal system.
But unless you're an attorney who has passed the bar in both countries,
your opinion has no more authority than Malc's or mine, or Duncan's.
