Ah, the paper tiger approach to public policy! We need laws to prevent a
situation that doesn't exist! Whoo!

Of course, and most of the time in "at will" states it's a non-starter.
Wiseman get fired, not for being arrested, but for writing ridiculously
melodramatic scenarios in which his dog dies following his arrest, i.e. for
poor writing.
Which would, of course, be perfectly acceptable.
