Military Commisions do not affect the day to day operations of the country. A law is an imposition from with out and is in fact the law but Prohibition was the law of the land but did not change the people in the least.

Correct. As in yes I believe that change is BEST accomplished from
within. Usually through education.
Brainwashing if you are in a hurry :) (Oh won't that spark some
interesting discussion :)
However change CAN be imposed from without. It only stays however
when the change comes from within.
One recent example of change imposed from without. "Military
commissions act of 2006"
As soon as we rally enough support it will go away but until then it
is the law.
