Re: [BDSM-LegalIssues] A little quote from the book that was mentioned at the start.

Gary your totally right! what party was in charge back when was of
course not the same party, hell the republican party in the time of
lincoln was the liberal party so yes not an issue.
Historical perspective aside the point which cant be pushed aside by
the argument "all things being equal" is that in the present tense
they just are not equal.

If your saying habeas corpus (Due process) doesn't exist for anyone
not a citizen, inside and outside this country then your wrong
historically. Up to this presidency our courts have staunchly held
that the constitution makes no distinction and that it behooves us to
extend it to all.

You've hit the nail on the head its not about THE PARTY its about the
PARTY in CHARGE, if the dems were doing this I would be yelling about
them as well and trust me i have.
No one is making this a PARTY issue other than anyone who seems to
have problems with there party being discussed, I am amazed by the
almost pavlovian response conservatives and republicans have these
days in that they seem fine to slander slam vilify and just out right
lie about anyone or any issue that isn't conservative yet scream
bloody murder an throw a moralistic conniption fit if you even so much
as discuss the party in charge.

This effectively sensitizes everyone and makes any form of discussion
about our country politics laws and what to do about them impossible.
